ABOUT THE VILLAGE CHURCH

Faith. Passion. Community. Worship. These are the cornerstones behind THE VILLAGE CHURCH, and we approach each day with these in mind. On December 14, 1967, thirteen families under the leadership of Bro. R.B. Thetford met in a home seeking the Lord’s will about starting The Village Church in the Summer Avenue area beyond the Memphis city limit. Since 1967, our community has thrived on the ideals of giving everyone a chance to learn, grow, and become more like Christ through worship. Becoming a church member means joining a family who, each day, are devoted to expressing their love of God.
